I took a weekend trip to Denver to scout it out as a potential place to move to, and I can across scooter tours as I was browsing for tours to learn more about the city. I've been on scooters before and loved them, so I was very excited to be on one again. I signed up for a tour on my first day to become more acquainted with the city, and David was great at instructing us how to ride and making sure we were comfortable before taking us out around Denver. The scooters were easy to ride and David took us around to some highlights of the city - it was a good mix of history, funny stories, and sightseeing. Highly recommend the tour!
I rented again the next day to take myself around to explore - so much faster than walking/biking and a lot more fun! I scooted out to Golden and up Lookout Mountain, stopping for lunch at the new food hall that Jane recommended when I picked up my scooter in the morning. Back to the city to explore the neighbor[hood]s, I rode around LoHi (stop at Little Man for ice cream - you look super cool pulling right up front and parking at the bike rack!), then off to Cap Hill, RiNo, and the downtown area to just ride up and down the streets to get a feel for the city.
Had a great weekend on this scooter and David and Jane are great - they give you everything you might need (poncho, sunscreen, map, gloves, hand sanitizer, glasses, recommendations, and no need to refill with gas!) and make it easy to see Denver. Thanks again! - Susan P

I would recommend everybody do this!! We had so much fun!! We didn’t wanna bring the scooters back! Lol! We did the rent and ride where you pick up the scooter and explore on your own. David, who is probably one of the nicest people I've ever met gives lots of great suggestions of places to go! We will definitely be doing this again next time we're in Denver!! - LV

We wanted to see Denver and this was the ultimate way to do it! Not only did we get to see many places on Denver’s must see, but you get up and personal with some places we would have never found. We loved the way David explained each area as you stop- he’s a natural and has such a great sense of humor. Did I mention you’re on these amazing scooters having a ball!!? This 53 year old teacher had the time of her life- and Jane and David were so patient with me. The last time I was on a moped/snow mobile was the 80’s and though I ride a bike we are rural folk, and I was not sure about being out in traffic. These people know what they are doing and as testimony to their reputation Colorado drivers were so considerate and never once was I concerned. Great teachers and really all about your safety and having fun! From the onset Jane and David are taking care of your every need. I cannot imagine a more dynamic way to see Denver. This is a must do when visiting Denver! David & Jane (husband and wife duo) are awesome. We toured downtown and stopped at some great landmarks, where David gave awesome history lessons. After the guided tour, he set us loose to discover Denver on our own. It was so much fun! We got to see parts of Denver we never would have, if it hadn't been for David & Jane. Whether traveling with a group, or on your own, I HIGHLY recommend you rent a scooter and see the town. Thank you David & Jane for such a memorable evening. I could not have been more happy with my experience on a scooter. I had never ridden before and honestly its as easy as they tell you. I didn't let on, but turning had me a little worried, the biggest issue is learning to ride and making sure you are safe. David at Scootours doesn't just throw you out there, everyone trains extensively in a controlled environment before going out on the road, I believe that's essential. By the time my group of 4 was ready to go out on the road we all felt very confident in our riding skills. David was an fun and engaging tour guide. Another thing this isn't some boring sight seeing tour, he is FUN. He isn't overly hokey and Denver is a cool and interesting city, so many cool places to see and honestly the next day when we did some supplementary sightseeing we all kind of missed the scooters. The city has those rental ones on every corner, but the difference with this is these are road legal so smooth pavement not pedestrians and broken sidewalks in your way. I have done both now and frankly I think we are gonna just buy some scooters. We really, really loved this tour and the scooter experience it was the highlight of my 3 visits to Denver, keep in mind I married my wife here the 2nd trip. - Dave M

This site is without a doubt one of the premier attractions for visitors who want to tour Denver up-close with the thrill the sensation of kinetic acceleration & of open air flowing by you as you travel down each street! Even if you have never used a scooter before, David, the proprietor, will give you as much instruction as you need in a parking lot, & he is VERY safety-aware. If you cannot do the basics required to ride, he will not allow you to leave for the open streets. Visitors who are somewhat unsure of their skills should sign up for the tour, which he leads, thereby getting ongoing instruction & guidance along the route. Believe me, if you can ride a bicycle, or use a jet ski, learning to ride a scooter is a 15 minute achievement. And, if you have driven a motorcycle, it's like "falling off a log." If you feel comfortable following your practice introduction in the parking lot, you are free to ride all around Denver, with restricted areas such as major highways off-limits, which is only common sense. Touring sites on a scooter is so convenient since you can park on any sidewalk as long as you do not restrict the usual traffic of the walkway. Usually, there are many bike or scooter posts on sidewalks that enable you easy parking @ no cost. Just lock-up & visit the area @ ease. No better way to get around Denver! David is the guy to ask for because he is a great teacher & also has an almost stand-up comic skill set in establishing rapport with you that makes you feel more confident & less anxious, especially if you have never been on a scooter before or if you have not been on a scooter in a long time. Check-in is easy & is arranged so that you can take the scooter for a few hours or all day. Suggest you consider all-day if you find that you are comfortable with riding after a few hours. You will be surprised to discover all the attractions that you had not already considered as you actually drive by them! Prices are very reasonable & include everything you need to ride safely. Plenty of storage space on scooter, so suggest you take a light-weight wind breaker, & other items that you generally use when outdoors. I always carry a watch cap & light leather gloves, which I used in the early morning along with my windbreaker. Good luck! Wish we were there already! - John H

I can't recommend this enough - this was hands-down our favorite day in Denver while on vacation (and that's saying a lot because every day was awesome). My husband and I rented scooters after my brother recommended Scootours from his August 2017 visit to Denver. THEY ARE SO MUCH FUN and of course I want to buy my own now. I really appreciated how thoroughly David prepares and teaches you, and circling the parking lot until I was ready gave me a lot more confidence and comfort. We scooted out to Red Rocks Amphitheater and it was incredible. What an amazing place - and riding out and up the windy road on a scooter was so much better than experiencing it in a car. I would do this again in a heartbeat. The extra zero in the title of my review was not a typo - a thousand percent recommended. - Lauren C
