Yep. It sure is. Our reviews describe the experience better than we can. We know you'll have fun. Make a reservation and then meet us in downtown Denver. We'll give you a scootorial and let you practice in our parking lot at 14th and California St until you are comfortable. Your time won't begin until we all agree you'll be safe.

Is a scooter adventure right for me?

Our customers are adventurers. For less than the price of a ski lift ticket, a day on a scooter will be your most memorable day of the year. Reserve a scooter if you want to try the best thing to do in Denver that doesn't involve chemicals.

We are very patient and we can teach you to ride if you meet our requirements.

We should caution you that there are some people for whom a scooter adventure doesn't make sense. We require you to be very comfortable on a bicycle. That doesn't mean that you could ride a bicycle when you were nine years old but you haven't been on one in years. Also, if you would describe yourself as having balance problems, please choose some other activity.

You also need to be a good driver of a car. If driving your rental car in Denver is too upsetting or unnerving for you, the additional process of riding a scooter not feel right.

Having said all that, people who consider themselves coordinated and competent in most things are able to learn quickly and easily. And then they go have a great time.

What are the requirements?

You'll need to comply with our usual rules, of course. That means you'll need a valid Driver's License that shows you are 18 or older. You'll need a debit or credit card for the security deposit and payment. You'll need to be very comfortable riding a bicycle, and you'll need to forswear intoxicants before and during your experience. Make a reservation. Please then show up at your scheduled time for paperwork and your scootorial, and practice in the parking lot.

You'll need full control of both hands and both feet. Your feet will hold you up when you stop. Your hands will control acceleration, steering and braking. You need to be at least 4'11" and you need to tell us in advance if you are 5'4" or shorter. You need to be less than 300 lbs.

How will I know where to go?

We'll give you suggestions, including directions. Many of our customers take the beautiful ride to Golden, CO or ride out to world famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Others stay a little closer to Denver.

Regardless of where you choose to go, Denver is a simple N-S-E-W grid with the mountains always visible in the west. Simple simple simple. There are no dangerous neighborhoods, so random exploring is fine. When it is time to come back, you'll easily spot the tall buildings of downtown.

Incidentally, Denver is a very scooter-friendly town. Two-wheeled vehicles are everywhere. 

Is this a good way to spend a day in Denver if I am alone?

Yes. You are adventurous. You have one day to visit Denver. Make a reservation with us and we'll point you to ideal places to explore. Navigating will be easy. You'll stop and take photos along the way. Our single-person renters have said on several occasions that rolling up to a coffee shop or a park on one of our scooters means they are immediately welcomed into conversations. "Hey, did you rent that? It looks like fun! Where did you rent that? Is it easy?"

Is this a good group activity? Is this a great way to spend a day in Denver with my family?

Maybe. Groups have an unbelievably great time, whether a newly dating couple or a group of eight friends. We'll coach you on how to ride together safely and on what to do if you are separated at a stop light. Keep in mind, though, if you have a member of your group who is under 18 or if someone doesn't have a valid driver's license or is not very comfortable riding a bicycle, pick something else to do in Denver. Also, if your group is visiting Denver for a day of intoxication, ScooTours Denver Scooter Rental is not the right choice. Remember, we train you and we make sure you are comfortable before you leave.

Should I take a guided tour instead?

If you are adventurous, you're probably going to want to go zooming by yourself or with whoever you came with. Some people instead want to learn about Denver on a guided sightseeing tour. It is up to you. Either way, you'll need to make a reservation.
